Charities and Giving Back

Charities and Giving Back

Giving back has always been at the heart of my journey, deeply rooted in the principles of Karma Yoga, which emphasises selfless service and contributing to the well-being of others.

Through my chosen charities, I strive to make a meaningful impact on communities that resonate with me. Whether it's the Earthchild Project, where I spent five years volunteering to teach yoga to children, the Soraya Foundation on Gili Air, or Ignite Possibilities Inspiration Classrooms, I am committed to supporting initiatives that foster growth, education, and well-being across the globe.

My paid offerings are designed not just to support your wellness journey but also to make a positive impact on the world. Whether it's through donations from one of my talks or sponsoring a year of yoga for a child with each retreat participant, a portion of what you invest goes directly to these three charities. If you're interested in learning more about how we can support these causes together or wish to make your own personal contribution, please see more information below. Let's create a ripple effect of goodness and give back to communities in need.

The Soraya Foundation helps many children on Gili Air island, just off Bali. From teaching them English, to educating them about plastic and the environment, to donating crayons for them to colour in their books.

The Earthchild Project

The Earthchild Project is a Non-Profit Organisation based in the Western Cape, South Africa, dedicated to providing complementary education to under-resourced schools. Their programs focus on environmental education, health, self-development, and leadership.

Through yoga and life skills, they empower children to connect with themselves and others. They cultivate a love and respect for nature through initiatives like worm farming, gardening, and eco clubs. Additionally, their holiday programs and hiking clubs are designed to inspire and develop a new generation of young leaders.

The Soraya Foundation is a private, non-profit organisation based on Gili Air Island, and their mission is to provide education to the island children and inspire and ignite the spirit of the community with the love of sharing, learning, and life.

Sharni has personally supported the Soraya Foundation and the children over the years and loves being involved!

Your contribution can go towards providing 200 children with crayons, pens, stationery, notebooks, and essential tools to continue their education.
